Designed by Bauhaus teacher Christian Dell this 6561 lamp design continued in production from the 1920’s through to 1949 (We have opted to use the later date of 1940’s on this specific lamp in the absence of any production date stamps). Classic Bauhaus design including the simple design form, matt colour and the absence of unnecessary embellishments other than the raised manufacturers stamped logo in the bulb holder hood on top of the shade. The lamp can be articulated by adjusting the flexible swan neck and by adjusting the shade up and down and from side to side on its ball socket. Some minor scratches/chips to the base but generally this lamp has faired well over the decades. The chrome swan neck arm has taken on a slightly bronzed patina. A great designer lamp for the Bauhaus collector and people who appreciate timeless design. 21” tall as displayed 6.5” diameter base 6” diameter shade £285.00 including delivery to U.K. zone 1 address.
