Very high quality Edwardian Art Nouveau Bankers lamp in the style and quality of W.A.S. Benson.

Consisting of fine quality weighted brass bass and articulated arm and swivel bulb holder. Scallop form Emeralite glass shade (fused emerald green outer and milk opal glass). Makers registration number present.

Bankers lamps were extremely popular in early 20th Century with green glass being very popular due to scientific studies of the day which concluded that green was responsible for improved creativity. It was found to be soothing, enhancing concentration and focus.

This beautiful lamp is the perfect addition to home office or classic study environments.
